I made this "Chemvas" piece in art class. I made the letters out of science and art clipart on sketchpad. I learned that anything can be used to make art. In the background you can also see i use texture.

This is a periodic tile that I made in art class. My element is potassium. If you look at the periodic table, 19 is the potassium atomic number and "K" represents potassium. I added banana on this tile too because bananas have potassium. I made this tile out of clay. To add the banana I had to add a special type of glue so it would stay. After the piece got fired. I glaze it up with colors.

This project helped me better understand how Ancient civilization Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, and China built their foundations from hands by showing me the object they had to use. To make one brick they had to dig mud and add water to it until it becomes the right consistency then you had to put the mixture into the brick maker after that you have to carefully remove the brick maker. This relate to my other classes like art for example because back then when they made things that needed water they had to use pots to take the water back and forth so they made pottery.
Deeply Rooted was a whole grade level project for 2nd quarter, which sought to answer how symbols can reflect cultural differences and similarities. We researched the use of symbols around the world and came up with our own symbols that reflect our modern lives. In Art class we created hand made paper and Borax crystals which we used to make symbols. I chose to make a danger sign, which symbolizes how you need to stay cautious. . Bending the paper was difficult and next time I would like to make it bigger and possibly add more color contrast to make it noticeable int the PBL. On the day of the showcase, our work was featured alongside performances representing cultures around the world.

For our final in geometry we made stain glass. We made our art piece out of shapes. My inspiration came from a lc. Three element of design are art, paint , and line. What we been doing connect to the proofs because we measure the shapes diagonal.
I chose this because I love the colors. This artwork gives off powerful black women. This beautiful artwork is made by Monica Stewart. This artwork also shows one of the principle design which is balance.
