What does it mean to volunteer? Why would Drew require you volunteer for 100 hours during your high school career?
During 9th grade, I was a member of a volunteer group called Pebbletossers, where my team focused on addressing homelessness and food insecurity. We worked in food kitchens, stocked community fridges, and prepared meals for local shelters, gaining firsthand experience in supporting those in need.
This photo was taken during a weekend-long volunteer opportunity at a grief-centered camp dedicated to supporting children with the challenges of losing a loved one, such as a parent or sibling. Throughout this camp, I worked 25+ hours helping both with childcare and leading activities, both for children and families. Pictured with me is Norah, my friend who was volunteering with me, and Christa, a service dog, after an outdoor activity with the kids.
