English Assignment #1

“Zera, I have to let you know something”, his dad says quietly]“Yes?” Zera answers inquisitively.
“My identity has been stolen. If I can’t manage to get it back we’ll have to move in with your uncle,” he says hastily, sounding a bit embarrassed.
Zera’s worries become solidified. Zera doesn’t like his uncle and cousins. He considers them some of the most annoying people in the world. He decides to take these matters into his own hands. After all, he is part of a local peacekeeping organization named the Chemicals. They once took down a criminal human trafficking organization, so they are pretty well known. Zera’s sub-unit is known as Cyanide, consisting of Yuna, Pyrus, Grant, and Zera.
They all, except Grant because he's out training some rookies, decide to meet up at the benches at the park. “Did you guys see that new console”, Pyrus exclaims. “Of course, Its awesome. Are you getting it, Zera? You're always getting new consoles and stuff,” Yuna questions.
“Not this time, my dad’s identity got stolen by that hacker that's been all over the news,” Zera explains. They all stare in shock. “We’ve gotta do something,” Pyrus exclaims.
The converse for a while, deciding to do something about it together.
“We should send a mission request to HQ,” Yuna suggests. Pyrus pulls out his phone and texts their boss, Rio.

After reading the texts, they all rush to a local shop across the street from the park to view the link together. They order some food, trying to blend in. Pyrus opens the link in his email and downloads it to his computer.

They eat and read, noticing something unusual. They see a boy, talking to an older woman and touching her phone, a bolt of electricity shooting from his hand.
“Wait, is that him,” Pyrus exclaims
“Dirty blonde..shhh, I think so.” Zera whispers.
“Wait, let me go. Juuuuuust in case.” Yuna whispers.
“Is it another one of your weird gadgets,” Zera and Pyrus sigh.
“You’ll see,” she says, walking towards the suspect.
Yuna walks over to him, adjusts her tank top, and stands tall.
“Hey pretty boy, how are you,” she says batting her eyelashes.
“Hey, what do you want,” the boy says, turing towards her.
“You have a charger I can borrow, babes,” Yuna says leaning closer.
“Oh,” he says perking up, “Hey sweetie.” He wraps his arm around her waist.
She giggles, “I don’t have much to say. Just wanted to flirt a little.” Yuna says and winks. She pats his arm lightly, transfering a small tracking chip onto his clothes.
“You want my number, I've never seen a girl like you in our team.”
She nods and smiles flirtatiously. “Okay, it’s XXX-XXXX-1312,” He says happily, Yuna writing it down. She waves good-bye and skips back over to the others. The boy gets a text from someone unknown and rushes out.
“We need a way to find him easier. Maybe we should ask the owner about him,” Zera suggests. They all nod and look around for the owner, finding him sitting on a bench outside.
“Hi, how can I help you?” the owner questions.
“Um, can we ask who the guy is with the dirty blonde hair who works here,” Zera asks.
“Oh, that’s Hikiko, has he done something? I've always been suspicious of him,” the owner wonders.
“We suspect he’s the hacker from the scandal around town,” Pyrus tells.
Zera nudges him in the arm and whispers, “We aren't supposed tell people that, but that’s the right name.”
The owner nods. “I’ll keep an eye on him for you all, and don’t worry. I’ll keep this to myself.”
They go all go home and get ready for school tomorrow.
It is the next day, they decide to confront him. But, Hikiko unexpectedly runs up to them in the hallway. Zera remembers who he is now. He is Hikiko Xi, a senior at his high school.
“If you try anything I will kill you, Zera.”, Hikiko says.
“Wait how do you know my name?”, Zera wonders.
“I know everything about you, I know everything about everyone. I know your darkest secrets”, Hikiko explains.
Hikoko disappears into the crowd of people in the hall. Zera tries to find him but fails. Yuna checks the gym and he isn’t their either. They go back to class. They decide to encounter him after school when he goes to his job. After school they see him running to his job. Yuna uses her power jets to catch up with him. Pyrus uses his rope to keep him down.
“You guys don’t know who you're messing with. I could kill all of you right now. Back off.”, Hikiko warns.
“ You’re not about to think you can do whatever you want. Let’s settle this right now. I’ll rather attempt to stop you than to not.”, Zera explains.
Hikiko shocks Yuna and Pyrus with his electricity. They are both down in an alleyway. Zera is worried because Pyrus is the strongest of all of them and he got knocked out with a simple attack.
“What was that!?”, Zera exclaims
“Oh, that hahaha that was my electricity mixed with sleeping gas. I call it ZZZap. They won't be getting up for a while.”, Hikiko says
“That’s enough.”, Zera says sternly.
Zera puts on his brass knuckles gifted to him by his grandfather. The fight commences! Hikiko charges at Zera with his blade. It slices his arm. Zera yells in agony and passes out. Is the fight over so soon? Hikiko walks away thinking he has won.
“Where are you going.” Zera’s lifeless looking body says. He gets back up. “This is not over.” He punches him in the stomach and neck with his two quick blows of brass knuckles of lightning. They are now both are injured. Hikiko gets back up a but he is dazed, Zera is doing something in the corner. He is getting ready for his special move, Spike shook! As Hikiko is about to finish him off with his finishing stab, Zera adds spikes to his brass knuckles and punches him with a finishing blow. Hikiko is now knocked out cold. They wonder if he is dead, Zera really hopes he isn’t. Pyrus wakes up and walks over to Hikiko's phone. He gives Hikiko a taste of his of his own medicine by leaking his own stuff. This stuff was embarrassing photos of him.
“Well, that’s over. Thanks, Zera I'm sorry for not being here to help.”, Pyrus apologizes.
“It’s fine you did help. We need to get Yuna to a hospital and call the police.
The next day, Hikiko is placed in jail after getting treatment from the hospital. Yuna also gets treatment. He becomes the joke of the town after that embarrassing picture gets spread of him. The town praises Zera and his friends for their heroic resolve.
“Thank you so much, Zera. Here’s the console you wanted.”, Zera’s dad says.
“Thank you, Dad, for everything you do, I know it’s not easy raising me alone. Just know I’m thankful.”. Zera says.
Zera goes to Pyrus’s house with Yuna to play on the new console.They wonder what the next mishap in town will be. When they get done chilling they prepare for whatever comes by training at the local park.
“Oh no...Zera look at this.”, Yuna says while taking a break on the bench.
Yuna shows him an alert saying, ”THIS IS NOT OVER YOU MAY HAVE DEFEATED HIKIKO BUT, THAT WAS JUST A TEST. YOU ARE NOT READY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE STARTED.”
“Why do I feel like this was coming.”, Pyrus says disappointedly.
“Don’t worry, let’s just train and get ready. If they do something back let’s just remember. It will come right back to them. That’s why we are the Cyanide, right? We have to give people what they deserve.” Zera says.
