AP LANG - CHANGE IS GONNA COME

The focus of my film was COVID, I chose this because it is a current problem in our society. I wanted to show change by showing how this has changed us and how we need to change for it. Covid-19 has drastically changed everyone’s life across the globe with it being a pandemic so I found this topic to be very relatable.

When I was making my script, I went through a process. This process included brainstorming and freestyling, I had to do this so I could get an idea of what I needed to do. Then I tweaked my ideas and words to make it more finalized. This tends to be my process for a lot that I do.

I chose to bring ideas from history into my film as my cross curricular element. Throughout history we have experienced disease and epidemics so I thought it would be something good to call back to. I brought up the Plague and Spanish Flu as something to relate void to. I said, “We have done this time and time again throughout history with the Plague and the Spanish Flu so we can get past this too.”, to show and inspire people to keep pushing.

Overall I believe my video was good and that the visuals I provided allowed me to get my point across better. It came out how I wanted it to. Thought I do wish to improve on things such as quality that overall affect the whole film. Nonetheless, the project was very fun.

APUSH - Presidential Draft

3B 5 DAY 2 - 2021 Presidential Draft

In this project we mimicked a fantasy football draft. But, we used Presidents. This was a food activity that mixed fun with learning. I say learning because we got to learn how bad some Presidents were.

Biology -Carbon Diagram

In my Edgenuity class, we did had to do a diagram of how Carbon goes through our enviroment. I enjoyed this project because it let me draw. Something I love to do.

Pre-Calc - Trig Clinometer indirect Measurement

Olando Trigonometry Clinometer Indirect Measurement Project

In this project we used what we learned in class and applied it to the real world. More specifically we used trig to measure tall objects without actually measuring them. I did my wall and a flag pole.

For my create task, I programmed a menu for a restaurant. I did this because I love food, as simple as that sounds. The input is the user selecting the food and the output is the cost being listed. Kind of like an app like DoorDash.

Mentorship - Independent Study : Police System

Olando Palmer - Mentorship Final Presentation

In Mentorship, we had to pick a topic that interested us and study it. We also had to conduct an interview on someone related to it. For me I chose flaws in our police system because it has always peaked my interests. Especially how it effects my people. I interview my mom because she works with the law.
