We had to make a piece of art that had something to do will chemistry. He gave four types of compounds to use. For me, I choice the compound H2O which is water. I'm pretty good at drawing so I thought that it'll be a good idea to draw it and then take a picture later. I used emphasis of the principle of design to make some lines more eye tacking. With the use of my Tinkercad model, I got a better understanding of my compound. Some of the skills that I have learned are some of the skills used for coding and 3D printing.
In class, we had the task of looming with the string that Dr. Kurt gave us. I had the idea to put a message over the string, so I used only black string and then bleached it to make the images that you see to the left. I had enough to make two of them.
I made a bracelet. The way that it relates to chemistry is that the string that I used have glucose which is from animal fibers. It can always go back into nature. I used the Principles of Design which are pattern and movement. I looped the string together to make it. I dislike that it wasn’t a big as I was hoping for. Next time, I’ll use more string. I learned how to make a new pattern for a bracelet.
