This was the first project we had and it was also our project for the semester. This project was kind of like my 11th-grade portfolio; it has all of my favorite and most important 11th-grade projects as well as some assignments and essays. I learned the basic skills that I needed to code from creating this website because it was like an introduction website at first. Toward the end of the semester, I started creating more advanced things like the navigation bar and drop-down menu. I also ended up with a multi-page layout, which is something I learned from my Wedding Planning project. Overall, this project has the most important code of what I learned over the semester and it was a fun process of creating it.
This was our second major project of the 1st semester. It was when I got more advances adding a multi-page layout and using different fonts outside of the default ones. This was when I created my first navigation bar, which you can see in the top left corner. Even though creating this site helped me progress my coding skills, it is not nearly as advanced as some of my other projects.
This was our first project of the second semester and this was our first project that we only had a few days to complete. This was the first project I created with animations, including different types of transitions and transformations. While coding this I learned a lot of useful shortcuts and other things. For example, if you are making a communication system between you and the viewer, you can add a block that allows them to put their email or name and with that, you can make it possible for the viewer to auto-fill that information. Overall, I think that this was the most challenging project so far since we had a limited amount of time and had to add animations.
This was a game development project where we were grouped together and had to create a growth simulation. My group was tasked to create a pixel pet game. We came up with multiple different game ideas and our final one was a pet clicker game. After creating the art behind the game and adding it with HTML and CSS, we began actually making it a game and making it user-interactive by adding the JavaScript code. I was my group's coder, so I was able to learn a lot from this process. I already knew a lot about both HTML and CSS, so this project helped me complete the Web Dev Trifecta and learn the last piece of the puzzle JavaScript. Overall, I think the game came out well, even though it's incomplete. It was a challenging process as I pretty much created it in three days, but I had fun creating it.
