I wrote an essay giving advice to Will, the protagonist of "A Long Way Down". I also wrote and performed a poem about the novel. Finally I wrote a poem about the day I was born.

Newton's Rockets
We taped three straws to the body of the rocket to act as a stand. Then we poured the vinegar into the bottle. We got our baking soda then got a cork and went outside and shot our rocket. Our rocket did not shoot up. It went to the side and we lost our cork. We tried it again but it didn't work. The element of design that relates to this assignment is movement.
Newton's cradles
First we made a cube out of popsicle sticks then we hot glued seven marbles to seven pieces of string then we glued the marbles to the cube so that they were resting gently next to each other. then we glued another popsicle sticks on top of the string so they would stay and cut off the excess. The element of design that goes with this is movement.
