SCAMPER Document
The SCAMPER Document was used for our group to create ideas on what our skit would rely on. Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to another Use, Eliminate, and Reverse are what models SCAMPER, and we made up different ideas out script could incorporate with each of these categories.
Final Script
This script was the final result after we filmed. We solidified our act, and this was the final script. After the final script we highlighted the uses of direct and indirect characterization in yellow, as well as complex and compound sentences. Those are topics we understood earlier in the year, and we recognized how we used them throughout our script.

This video is all of the scenes, practices, and ideas put together after going through the process of everything above.
Answer the Driving Question: How can we use narrative writing—through plot, characterization, and other storytelling techniques—to showcase the achievements and cultural legacies of ancient civilizations in ways that help us appreciate and preserve the diverse cultures that shape our world today?
We can use narrative writing through plot, characterization, and storytelling techniques to showcase cultural legacies by putting the reader in the shoes of the civilizations then. Having put the reader in the shoes of the earlier civilization can show the way life used to be and how our choices and decisions were all based off of how the civilizations started. Giving the reader a way to see how life used to be in a fun interactive way can show them how much the world has grown.
For the Shaping Our World Project I worked with Kenneth, Isaiah, Vilicia, and Christian. We used our AP World History books to quote and make sure of our information on our Ancient Civilization. We also used informational cites on the internet to make sure our ancient information aligned with our aspect of present day we incorporated in out project.
Describe the ELA portion of the PBL…Who did you work with? What material/sources/apps/etc did you use?
Summarize the project: What connections can be made between your ancient civilization and today’s society? What are your overall thoughts on the project? What did you learn about narrative story writing? Your ancient civilization? How would you improve this project if you had the chance?
The connection between ancient civilizations and my society today can be the use of weaponry and the arguments over power. Nowadays there is always a want for power and no joint community. Also, a lot of our weaponry today came from the base of ancient civilizations and how they used to work. I thought the project was very fun and interactive, the filming was enjoyable with my group with the costumes and all. I learned to be in the time you have to know the time. My ancient civilization was Ancient China, and it was fun filming the warring states period in our own way. I would improve this project just with less script writing time and more fliming time.
