Due to COVID-19 we are starting school virtually. We had to take a picture of our materials and label every material in the frame. To the left is my picture that I took and labeled.

We built a cool pedestal during class, and it was hard to build at first. We used laser cut parts, LED, battery, screws and nuts, and copper tape.

6 LED Blink

This was hard to do because some reason it doesn't work. So we kept moving it around so the only time its on is that is not blinking it is just on like how it is on the picture. I can't get six LED's to turn on because every hole doesnt work for me so I just did three of them.

1 LED Blink

For some reason my GND and D2 doesnt work so that means it cant blink but I tried the other side but it still doesn't blink but it stays on so I took a picture of it staying on.

Neostrip

We had to tie the wires together and add a insulator like tape so it doesnt get overheated and plugged it into the arduino. We took a broken charger and a female contraptor with some wires to plug into the window light and arduino. The wood is glued to make it look like a box, and the wiring has a charger wire in it, but you cant see it. Then, we did coding to change the colors as you see there is a rainbow scheme.

Window Light

We had to tie the wires together and add a insulator like tape so it doesnt get overheated and plugged it into the arduino. We took a broken charger and a female contraptor with some wires to plug into the window light and arduino. The wood is glued to make it look like a box, and the wiring has a charger wire in there but you cant see it. Then, we did coding to change the colors as you see there is pink,blue, and green.

Canva poster

We researched a person because we took a break from building and started to learn about the problems we have now in the world. This related to my window light project because my person did not stand for the national anthem and didn't believe. Also my hashtag is to stop police brutality.

I chose this hashtag because it went with my canva poster person. It also went with the blm movement and it the united states still hasn't done anything to try and help because its been happening for years.

Drawing Practice

Week 1

First we drew the horizon line and then a rectangle and connected every corner with the point in the horizon line. Then, we erased the constructional lines and added shade to it.

I can't find the one I drew with the squiggly so I added the cube with no top and all you do is draw a line down and add shade to the sides.

Week 2

This is the pencil holder we drew it also has a phone pocket for your phone it was tricky to draw, but we erased the outer line so it could make a 3D feeling

The class agreed on the word love so we made first we drew the letters itself, and started to connect them to the horizontal line then we added another layer so it makes it more 3D

Week 3

We made a 2x2x2 cube that was somewhat difficult to make the correct measurements.

Research

The purpose of the research of the design process is to get the current idea of a situation that already exist to solve your problem. If you are designing for a client you would also interview the client and ask for their needs but in this project we are not asking for a client we are designing for ourselves

I chose this organizer because it's balanced and it shows space for the middle.

This organizer is good because it has a drawer that can come out also it has 4 spaces for items

This organizer shows a balanced spacing it has one container on each side and has more space in the middle for cards and tape.

Idea development

We drew our single point perspective prototype and my drawing has 10 compartments but if you can't tell it's mirrored on both sides so there are back spaces on it too

3D prototyping

This is the top it has a total of 8 compartments

This is the right side and the height of this is 4.75 inches.

The 2 on the outer are for bigger items and the one in the middle is for smaller items

The height of the smaller compartment is 2.75 inches also and the bigger one is 4.75 inches.

Evaluation & Testing

The only thing my project did not meet was was 10x10 because it was 10x7. I would improve my secret compartment then I would also improve my small bins in the middle so they have no space in between them.

Production

The production phase is the final phase of the engineering design process. In this phase, you make your project out of final materials after incorporating all of the changes we recognized we needed in order to meet the original goals of the project. In this project, since we are still in virtual so we used cardboard.

Single Perspective Word

This is my word because usually when it hits Friday its the last day of the school week and it lets me know to finish my work that day so I can relax on the weekend. On Friday I usually go to sleep knowing I have no more work or school tomorrow. The word Friday also relieves all my stress because I can sleep in or go to sleep late because the next day is a weekend.
