During unit 1 we covered Ancient civilization, Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, and China. While we covered this information I learned how they built structures, and survived. We also had a mini project where we would experiment what it would be like if we lived in that time. I discovered that some people had to live a certain way to blend in with their surroundings. When we built, we built out of bamboo to make a tiki hut, and we acted out how different philosophies were.
It relates to other subjects because we used math to make a game in Ancient civilization, Egypt, Mesopotamia, India, and China. Every class has different main ideas like social injustices, stories, using calculations, and making stop motion.
The columbian exchange was between the east and west, it wasn’t really a trade it was people taking foods, and spreading diseases.
First the exchange started with Francisco Pizarro going and spreading the disease he has and taking supplies from one side.
We used the foods and seasonings that are in our hemisphere. The West and East hemisphere went back and forth with each other by taking things, and spreading diseases from the other hemisphere.
It help me understand which foods are on each side and what dishes they made back with what they had back then.
