Science Assignment #1 Newton Rockets
We made are rocket by using straws, plastic bottle, cork, baking soda, vinger, and tape. We tapped the straws to the bottle making legs to stablize the rocket. We then added the vinger into the bottle and put the baking soda weged it in the bottle with the cork. We then went out side and flipped over the rocket, however the rocket didnt work because the cork fell out to early. In theroy the rockets cork would use the chemical reaction between the baking soda and vinger would make gas the would push the cork out. And the movement of the cork would shot the rocket upwards. The shape of the rocket would affect how high and fast the rocket goes. The more cubic the shape of the bottle the more force neededto lift it up due to air resistance. The more arodinamic a rocket is the less air resitance.
Science Assignment #2 Newtons cradle
We made a newtons cradle using strings ,hot glue, tape, marbles, and popsicle sticks. We made a base using the hot gule gun to glue the sticks together. After that we measured the string then glued it to the marbles. We then taped the marbles to the base. However are project didn't work because the marbles where unevenly tapped. The Space in between the marbles would let the marbles have little Movement so when the coillied they can transfer energy easily. This project shows the transfer of energy.
