During the summer of 2024, after getting my scuba certification, I went to Ceiba, PR, to volunteer at ISER Caribe. I helped maintain corals, count urchins, and other general husbandry. I also went to their other location on isla magueyes to help collect urchins from traps.

During the summer of 2023, I worked for Trees Atlanta under their Youth Tree Team program. This allowed me to make some really good connections, and was overall really fun to do since everyone working there was around my age. My knowledge on trees and invasive plants is as good as it is thanks to this program!

From 9th to 11th grade, I volunteered almost every month to help the Dunwoody Nature Center maintain its forest. This was my introduction to working in the field, and I made many great memories working alongside others who care about nature just as much as I do. This was also my introduction to the impact of invasive organisms and how people go about restoring ecosystems that have been damaged by these plants and animals.
