Epic Elements Chemistry Research Part 1
My group and I each took 2 elements out of the 6 in the Alkaline Earth Metals group to research to have a general understanding of the knowledge of each element we researched.

A lot of things went well with our project actually! We had a really great start, everyone in the group contributed to the story which I felt was extremely important, that we all had great characters already made from literature class that we only took one or two discussions to really blend and figure out our plot line. The writing process of the epic was also great, we had so many ideas that it literally exceeded the page count (but it was fine they allowed it), and everyone contributed not only to the story itself but actually writing it. We had some difficulties along the way though! I think focus was a bit of an issue, not in the sense that we ever were late on anything or that we lacked full effort because that certainly wasn’t the case, but a lot of times when we had ample opportunity to put it into overdrive and get it out of the way with like, the storyboard or the stop motion, we slacked off and found ourselves scrambling later on doing it for homework. I’ll be quick to admit that I contributed to this myself too, and I do regret it but it was at least the tiniest bit exhilarating. We could’ve improved on more decisive and shortened group work meetings instead of discussing loosely when we had the time and then individually working on it, and we could’ve polished our stopmotion a bit better I think. I learned a lot though, just focusing on the content I learned a lot about how to craft stories with multiple people and how to do a simple Slides stop motion in the first place, as well as creating backgrounds and characters to really illustrate and complete the full picture of our project. This was an extreme success for all 3 of us though, I’d give us a rating of at least 8.5 out of 10 if there was a self rating system. For the teachers that assisted us, I think you couldn’t have done much better than y’all did, at least for ME personally I was able to absorb everything you said and apply it to somewhat the best of my abilities when I was actually working.
