For starters, my name is Jayla Smith. I live with my mom and two younger siblings, Draiden and Kamari. I have amazing friends and their names are Christin, Kayla, and Simon. We have all been close since middle school. In my free time, I love listening to music and singing. My favorite genres of music include heavy/death metal, alternative, indie, k pop, k rap, k RnB, and many others. I honestly can listen to anything but country, I don't really like it. Recently I have been teaching myself Korean so that I can visit in the future.
My time at drew molded me into the student I am today. I first came to Drew in the 4th grade, in that year I joined chorus for the first time and ever since then, I have loved it. I would sing all the time at home and when I came to Drew I was given the option to be in chorus. Being in chorus taught me basic music theory and more love and appreciation for the art. Drew has provided me with plenty of resources and choir was one of them. In my senior year, I was enrolled in the early college program at GSU to get a taste of college life.
