Ceramic Project

On 10/21/22 I photographed an assignment I made in Art. In this ceramic assignment, I had to illustrate some of my favorite things using ceramics. My favorite things that I displayed in this piece were the moon and constellations, volleyball, music, and nature. When making this, First I had to roll out the clay, then I craved out my awkward-looking shape and I added carving marks for what each area represented. I made deeper carving impressions to separate each portion. I made one of the impressions too deep and had to reattach an entire piece back onto the rest using slip. When this piece went into the kiln the water which was chemically bound to the clay was evaporated and it was now bone dry; ready for glazing. I glazed my piece by basing the colors that the aspects display in real life. Next time, I will use more glaze layers so that the darker colors don't look as dull

On 12/15/22 I participated in my schools's December holiday concert. I played Santa Claus is coming to town live. I picked that song because it is a classic and personal favorite of mine. This was the first piece I played by memory and I did mess up a few times but for a piece I played off my memory I think I did well.

Mirage of the End

For My final, we had two choices. We could either write a 60-page book or do the written test. I chose to write a book. This is the cover of my book that I have since published on Amazon. My book is about a zombie apocalypse in 1992. Writing this book took lots of time and dedication. I had to write at least one page every day so I wasn't at risk of falling behind.
