Project Brief
What was the intended function of your box and how does the design contribute to the function. The function of my box was to be able to hold markers and the design contributes because it's deep enough to hold plenty of markers and also has a lid so the markers don't spill out.
Describe one thing you are most proud of about the box itself.
I'm most proud of my football knob and how my spray painted logo turned out on my box.
Describe one thing about your physical box you would improve on if you could do it again.
One thing I definitely want to improve on is my sanding skills and making sure the lid of the box looks basically perfect and slides back and forth with ease.
What is one challenge you faced while doing this project that you were able to overcome and how did you overcome it? A challenge I faced was trying to sand the lid to where it fits into the top and doesn't get stuck and I was able to overcome this by using the belt sander to even the sides out and finally getting the lid to fit.
What is one skill that you learned so well in this project that you would feel comfortable teaching it to another student? A skill I learned well was the stencil making process and I strongly believe I can teach this to anyone as Mrs. White already had me teach students how to make the stencils.
Even though everyone ended with their own project, how did teamwork/collaboration play a role in this project? Teamwork played a heavy role in this project because when students struggle with a specific skill there's always someone in the class who knows how to do that one skill. So we can build off of each other and provide feedback and insight to others who lack a skill. I would like to shout out Ayman for helping and directing me with the 3D printer.
