Overview of 10th Grade Classes
Algebra 2: Algebra 2 is an 11th grade class. However, due to the opportunities I received in 8th grade, I was able to take Math and Science classes above my grade level.
ChemVAS: ChemVAS is a conjunction class. It consists of Base Chemistry and Visual Arts. The classes often go hand in hand, with assignments and projects that are relevant to each other.
World History: World History is my Social Studies class for 10th grade. We mainly cover the history of the world, as stated, as well as different cultural events that has impacted humanity.
World Literature: In world Literature, we study different texts that were written throughout history. We also use our class time to learn about systems within the english language, as well as write our very own novel.
Spanish ll: In Spanish ll, we mainly focus on extending our vocabulary. We also work to become Intermediate Low conversational speakers.
Band and Orchestra: These are both selective music classes I decided to take part in for my 10th grade year. I focus on improving my skills with my violin and my trumpet, as well as learning new elements of music.
My Unit 2 Spanish Project
In this project, I researched different Colombian foods and gave a general description of the Colombian cuisine. I described the foods at an intermediate-low level.
My Epic Elements Animation
This is the animation I worked on with two other people. We used a software called "Gacha Club" to create characters and construct the scenes. My Learning Journal goes more into detail about my Epic Elements project as a whole, but this is what it all was building up to.
This is my Head to Head, Toe to Toe project from World Literature. The goal of the assignment was to deliver a speech by Marc Antony that was delivered at the funeral of Julius Caesar. The thing was, we had to bring the most energy into our presentations. I decided to do what I do best. All Vocals, Instruments, and Video Documentation was done by me and me alone. Enjoy!
This is my ChemVAS cooks project. For this project, I had to pick out a dessert recipe and record myself cooking it while also explaining the science behind it along the way. I used my knowledge of the chemistry of cooking as well as the chemistry of digital photography to complete this project.
This is my D.I.G.I.T.A.L Gas Laws and Gas Art project. I completed them both to show my knowledge and understanding of the 3 main gas laws as well as my understanding of the use of gasses in art.
This is my World History E-Binder. This digital notebook houses the vast majority of all of my World History assignments throughout my 10th grade year.
Updating and maintaining this binder was one of my main struggles during the beginning of this school year. However, the pressure that came with maintaining a good grade on this binder also bred a work ethic that helped me when it came to my other classes.
This is my "The Perfect Trip" project. For this project, we made a presentation of what we think the perfect trip or vacation would consist of.
