In geometry I applied transformations by designing a video game with 3 levels. After designing my video game, I turned the video game into an animation. The goal of my game is to get Steve Rogers through all of his major life obsatcles. In order to complete my game translations, rotations, reflections, and dilations had to be used. It was important throughout the process that I remembered the differences for each transformation. When thinking of Translations I thought of foward and backwards of course I didnt want steve only to move foward and back which is why I used rotations to change the dirrection he was facing. I used Reflections for him to jump over things such as spiderman in relation to the x and y axis. Lastly I used Dilations to make him bigger and smaller to help him channel his inner ant man.
In Geometry I’m working on designing a piece of stained glass .In geometry we’re learning about the properties of parallelograms, so my stain glass design includes different types of parallelograms such as rectangles, squares, and a rhombus. For my stained glass design I’m creating a queen of hearts themed stained glass project particularly hearts because there's a heart on the cement in Ms.Stokes room.
In math, I was tasked with making a water bottle using 3D shapes that hold a set volume of 30.5cm and market to sell it and this is what I came up with
