Epic Animations

This is my groups Epic Elements Project. In this Project we had to crate a video presentation that revolves around Social Injustice. This presentation had to include something from every subject which were World History, World Literature, Art, Spanish, Geometry and Chemistry. Something inside the video had to relate to something from those subjects.

For World History we had to create a civilization from different resources outside our homes like dirt and rocks. This also included us making a brick out of mud that we made ourselves in order to represent some type of place for our characters. We also studied different places like Egypt and China to determine where we wanted our story to take place.

For World Literature we had to write a written part of what the video story would be. The story had to include certain things but not anything too complex since the story is meant for children.

For Art we had to create characters that were based off of Chemistry and Literature. Making these characters required us to go to different websites and experiment with them. We also used different drawing websites to make our own original props in our video.

For Spanish given our proficiency level we needed to include at least once scene where our characters communicated in Spanish.

Geometry required us to include some transformations. Thing like rotations, reflections and Dilation. These weren't too hard to input into or video since our characters would be moving around a lot.

Lastly is Chemistry where we learned about elements on the periodic table. Our group had to choose between 3 elements that we researched to make into a characters. In the end we chose the element Cobalt and in our video when Cobalt is fighting a obstacle he tries to ram into it. This is because one of the element cobalt attributes is that it's very hard. So ramming something would be easy to break through.

With all of these our group made a successful animation that included everything needed and in the process was very fun to do.

Art and Chemistry cooking Project.

This project was very fun and very stressful, to say the least. In this project, we were assigned to groups of three where each classmate had a specific meal category to cook in. I was lucky enough to get dessert and I choose to do churros. I named them compound churros to go along with the chemistry theme. Through this process, we had to use our chemistry knowledge to tell more about the recipe and the kitchen supplies. This includes what kind of mixtures there are, the different characteristics of the tool I used in the kitchen, determining whether certain parts were physical or chemical changes, and also conversions of the measurements. We also used art which was also a big aspect of this project. I used the information given to me about how to see up the recording in a way that everything could be captured. I also used my knowledge on what is needed in order to capture a good food picture with good lighting and a solid background that won't take away from the photos. Overall this project was very fun and delicious.
