Volunteering means giving your time and effort to help others without expecting anything in return. It is about supporting people in your community and making a positive impact where it is needed.
Drew would require 100 hours of community service during high school because it helps students build responsibility, character, and real-world experience. It also allows students to connect with their community, understand different people’s needs, and develop important skills like communication, teamwork, and leadership.
Through my community service, including my internship with Ms. West, I learned how to be more dependable and how to work with others in a professional setting. Volunteering showed me the importance of giving back and being involved in something bigger than myself.
