The Columbian exchange was a triangle of trade routes that exchanged resources from africa, europe and the americas. In this project we cooked food used from a western or eastern hemisphere. We were each assigned a hemisphere and were to bring ingredients from the hemisphere to cooks with. My group brought potato chips, corn and some other things and we managed to make a nice dish with some steamed corn. This helped me understand the Columbian Exchange better as many ingredients we have today originate from the eastern hemisphere and being assigned to the western hemisphere made cooking quite a challenge.
