Essay for portfolio - in this essay, we had to say what we thought Sundiata's most heroic part of his story was. 

A hero is a person that helps a person that helps people and doesn't without expecting anything in return. Sundiata, the king who helped from the empire of Mali, helped many kids and citizens rebuild their kingdoms. Sundiata, demonstrated heroism when he shot the sorcerer with the spur of a white rooster, while he did this he took away the sorcerer's powers, then chased him. then he burned the town of Soso down.

The first way that Sundiata is heroic was he shoots the sorcerer with a white-tipped feather arrow from a rooster. This is true since the children's book states,” the arrow flew straight and true, cutting through Sumanguru’s cade and grazed his shoulder.”This was a heroic act since he shot the sorcerer king, sumanguru, with his only weakness, a white-tipped arrow from a white rooster. In conclusion, this shows that Sundiata shooting the sorcerer king with a white-tipped arrow was heroic.

The next way that Sundiata is heroic is when he shoots the sorcerer king with a white-tipped arrow, was he chases him once his powers are taken away by the arrow. The children's book shows this is true by saying,” Sunamnguru fled to the slopes of mount koulikoro and staggered into a dark cave.”This proves that my thought is true because it shows that he ran away into a cave. This shows that Sundiata was heroic in chasing the sorcerer king.

The last reason that Sundiata was heroic was when he burned down Sosso, the sorcerer king's kingdom,  to show people what happens when you mess with him. In the book, it says that Sundiata went to Soso and burnt it down too. He did this because it was a way for Sundiata to show his strength. This reflects my claim since it shows why Sundiata burning down Soso was a heroic act. All in all, this shows how Sundiata burning down Soso was a heroic act.

On the other hand, some people might think that Sundiata never had any troubles, or was handed everything. This would be incorrect, this is because he had many struggles in his early life, and one of those struggles would be when he got exiled from his hometown. This is true since once Sundiata's father died his stepmother became the ruler until Sundiata came of age too. Instead of his stepmother waiting for him to come to age, she exiled him instead, so her son could be the king. This shows that Sundita did have troubles and wasn’t just handed everything. This is because it gave an example of what happened to Sundiata, getting exiled. All in all, Sundiata is still a hero since he had a big part in the hero's journey of being handed a big unexpected trouble.

In conclusion, Sundiata is a hero since he is a person that helps a person and doesn't without expecting anything in return. This argument is shown in this essay because it shows examples of his heroism in his story. In today's world, a person like Sundiata would help the world a lot since it would create a person who can help anyone in any situation.

newtons rockets

We made our rocket with 4  main matierals. first we got three straws taped them to a plastic bottle. Then to make the rocket move we added baking soda and vinegar and pluged it with a cork. Once we did all of this the rocket was supposed to go upwards, but it didnt, the rocket was not stable enough to stand. One of the two things that connect with the principles of design is movement, this connects since if the rocket worked correctly it would have flew upwards. The seconds reason this connect is balance, this is because the rocket should have been stable or balanced so it would be able to fly.

 We made our rocket with 5 main materials. To start making this we got two popsicle sticks and hot glued them together, Then we repeated that and made a box. Next, we got string and marbles and taped them onto each other. Then we taped the string and onto the box, we made sure everything was even. That is how we made our box and cradle. Also, the energy in the cradle changed as it was moving. The first type of energy was potential energy when we held the marble up getting ready to drop it. The next type of energy was kinetic energy, this was when we dropped the marble, and this occurred when the marble was moving. The last type of energy was sound energy, this occurred when the marbles hit each other and they made a sound.

In this project, I made music by going onto the soundtrack and creating beats that incorporated or gave the feel of water. I incorporated water into my project by adding the sound of water or making you feel the water in the music. I am most proud of all of my music since it took me a long time and I am very proud of it. If I could have improved my music I would have made it so I could have used a better site to make the  music
