Today we learned that we are going to design a geometric motion lamp.
Above are the constraints for the project. I noted that there are some additional constraints that will need to be accomplished for my project to be considered advanced.
This is the schedule for this mini project. We have five total class periods to complete this project.
These are our projects constraints for this project.
Research
Today we researched some images as inspiration for our project. I am most inspired by the cross.
Idea Development
After Researching, we needed to come up with our own idea. To the left is my sketch of my idea.
Day 1 Construction
Today in class I used the bandsaw to cut out my center piece.
Day 2 Construction
Today in class I used the miter saw, and the bandsaw and the sander to cut and sand my pieces.
Day 3 Construction
Today in class I used the bandsaw and sander to sand my pieces and cut it.
Day 4 Construction
Today in class I used the spray paint and the nail gun to nail my pieces and paint my cross.
Final Product
This is my project. It is a Christian Cross.
The project size constraints were to be less than 18'x18"x18" and the final dimensions of my project are 6in by 2 inches.
It was expected my project was made out of 6 or more parts. My project is made out of 6 parts.
I give my craftsmanship an 8/10 for this project because it didn't come out perfectly.
Front View
Reflection - My favorite part is the whole cross because it represents my religion.
Pull Apart Activity
Today in class we are going to take this camera. We know that this camera can
Record
Take picture
Zoom
Take videos
I think that these things will be inside
Motherboards
Glass Dome
Copper wires
Screws
LAN Cable
Motors
Camera & lens
Today I took apart a school security camera and looked at the parts.
Above are the steps we are going to take for the electronics coding portion of the project.
Above are the steps we are going to take for the physical enclosure portion of the project.
Laptop Table
Final Table
This is my box with clamps
This is my final table. It's fully screwed and stain. My legs do not move but they are sturdy.
Stain
Before class I did not stain.
Ater class I stain my table.
Sanding
At the beginning of class I had over hangs.
At the end I sanded the back of my wood.
Assembly with the nail gun and glue.
At the beginning of class we had different parts.
At the end we nailed and glued our parts together.
Cutting leg pieces with Table Saw.
At the beginning we had a long board.
At the end we used the table saw and cut the board.
Cutting Down side pieces with Miter Saw.
At the beginning of the long skinny board.
At the end I cut the long board.
At the beginning of class we had a board.
At the end of a class we cut a board.
At the beginning of class we had a board
At end of a class we used the Planer and it smooth the wood .
Our new project is create a laptop table. Mine will have folding legs.
Here is my cut list all of the pieces I need to cut out.
I finishd my light pattern today.
This is my final lamp. Th
I used this to cut my wood for my project. And laser cut my project out and I used it to cut led holes.
I used this for my led lights.
I used this to create my shapes for my project.
Today I taped up my lamp with Lights.
Today I drew my Final sketch and got it approved.
I tapped my box with tape.
I put my sketch on Gaph Paper.
I installed the fifth light to my Pico today.
Today I got my LEDs to light up like a stop light.
Today I got my LED to blink in a blue color.
Today I got LED to blink and I changed the code to make it blink faster.
Today I drew some sketches for my geometric lamp.
Today I glued my cardboard box.
Today I glued My carboard box.
These are the skills we are expected to have learned at the end of the project.
So Tuesday was the first day we cut this puzzle and put it together.
So today we created another puzzle that we cut together.

Today we learned we are customizing our box with a stenciled name. We practiced by making this stencil.
8/18 Today we glued our wood together and used clamps.
Today we did one opening on the front.
Today we did two openings on the top.
Today we did the opening in the front on a rectangle and we did an opening on top of a square.
Today we did a sketch of our 3dprint.
I made my design on tinker CAD and I uploaded it to Ultramaker cura
Today I glued all my wood together to make the base of the bandsaw box.
today I stained my box in brown paint.
Today I spray-painted my stencil on my box.
Today I glued my 3d Knob to my box.
