I left Drew Charter School during my sophomore year and transferred back to my hometown school, Statesboro High, thinking it would be the right change for me. While being back in a familiar environment had its positives, it didn’t take long for me to realize how much Drew had shaped me, not just academically, but personally as well. I missed the community, the support from teachers, and the environment that pushed me to grow and think bigger. That experience helped me truly appreciate what Drew offered, and by the time my junior year came around, I knew I wanted to return. Coming back to Drew in 11th grade wasn’t just about switching schools again—it was about choosing a place where I felt motivated, supported, and at home.
