This week in Forensic Science we are learning the importance of blood pattern analysis. In order to understand the basic human anatomy we researched the structure and functions of the human circulatory system.
Blood Spatter was the most interesting to me because it's something I was wondering about when watching crime shows. Learning about blood spatter taught me about what happens at crime scenes and how CSI analyze different type of blood spatters from victims. Bloodstain pattern analysis provides important forensic information about the crime under investigation, it tells what happened. Bloodstain patterns occur in several distinct categories, each revealing a piece of the crime scene puzzle. Blood spatter, or bloodstain pattern is a technique that seeks to piece together the events that caused bleeding. Knowing how the blood got on the wall or other surface can be helpful in determining if a crime was committed and if the blood is evidence in that crime. All in all, blood spatter was one of my favorite units.
