I volunteered to make Valentine’s gifts for my kindergartner and then spent time playing with them on the playground. This experience allowed me to connect with younger students and create a fun, supportive environment.
A few others were selected by the counseling and wellness team to marshal the Class of 2025 graduation ceremony. During this event, I served as an usher, assisting family members who had questions and helping guide them throughout the ceremony. This experience allowed me to demonstrate responsibility, communication skills, and professionalism while contributing to an important milestone for the graduating class.
Volunteering means giving my time and effort to help others without being paid. It allows me to support my school and community while making a positive difference. Through volunteering, I can help at events, work with younger students, or assist people who need extra support.
Drew requires me to complete 100 volunteer hours during my high school career to help me grow as a responsible and involved student. By volunteering, I learn important skills like teamwork, leadership, and communication. It also encourages me to give back to my community and gain experiences outside of the classroom that will help prepare me for college and my future.
