What was the intended function of your box and how does the design contribute to the function.
Describe how it is meeting the functional goals. My box meets its function goals bye having a good amount of room to hold everything.
Could you describe how your form contributes to the overall function? The box is skinnier and longer which makes it perfect for holding drawing supplies like colored pencils, pencils, and markers.
Describe one thing you are most proud of about the box itself. I am most proud of the handle because it turned out exactly how I had envisioned it.
Could you point at this when you are presenting, either on the physical box or on a close-up photo?
Describe one thing about your physical box you would improve on if you could do it again. I feel like in some parts of the box, it is a little messy with the paint.
Could you point at this when you are presenting, either on the physical box or on a close-up photo?
What is one challenge you faced while doing this project that you were able to overcome, and how did you overcome it? My box got messed up one time when we used the miter saw so I had to figure out how to make it straight again.
What is one skill that you learned so well in this project that you would feel comfortable teaching it to another student? I feel like I could teach another person how to use the bandsaw very confidently.
Even though everyone ended with their own project, how did teamwork/collaboration play a role in this project? Offer specific shout-outs to acknowledge those who helped you. I feel like a lot of people shared the materials and let everyone borrow them, like Edna let me borrow the gold paint she was using one day.
Cornhole Board
We are creating a cornhole board themed around 25 years of drew, which will be presented at space is the new place
Within this project we will learn about all typs of code and coding wiht circuit python
Our board needs to be centered around 25 years of ndrew and have 2 electronic compnents
To make this mini cornhole board we had to create what we wanted our cornhole board to look like
Interactive Features
For me and my partners interactive features we have an Lcd panel that is connected to beam breakers so that whenever a bag goes threw a hole it will update the board, and that goes for all three holes. Also we have neopixels that will flash white everytime you score to try and mimic big bright white stadium lights.
Infinity Mirror
for this project we need to make a infinity mirror using 5 patterns and colors of neopixel lights. We will use skills like sketching, geometry, coding and many different online websites.
For the constraints the main things are it cant have a perimiter bigger than 12 inches. It also can not have the same shape as the prototype or be a circle due to the sides fitting on.
I will have a free-standing mirror of a setting sun, which is 5 inches by 3 inches. And I will use a five-coded pattern made in Onshape
Engineering Design Journal
For the prototype face of this project everyone had to make a small rectangle and incorporate the 5 codes you plan on using for the final product. This prototype gives a good image of what your final code will look like without the button.
Making the prototype for this project helped give a visual into what the final project would look like because you still had to put it together and print out the acrylic square so we knew the problems that would occur and what we need to do for the final project.
Final Project
This is the front view where you can see inside of the mirror
perspective view which shows basically the whole sun mirror. The
This is the side view of my project which shows the sides of some of my sun rays.
This is the final product which shows the 5 codes I made and the full miror. For my infinity mirror I chose to do a sun and I showed that in many ways like the sun rays which had to be seperately made and put on as accessorys, and even the code is coded with costume colors like orange, cyan, and pink which I feel like embody a beachy feel especially when you see a beach sunset.
