My 10th grade class and I went to the movies to watch "The Woman King"
"Mi familia." This is a writing task targeting the standard: Presentational Mode of Communication. Use the driving questions we have used in class. Include the following aspects in each slide: 1. Photo. 2. Name. 3. Age. 4. Occupation. 5. Favorite activity. 6. One physical appearance characteristic and 7. One personality feature at least. Write complete sentences in Spanish. Elaborate. Use prior knowledge connected with new knowledge. Use your best Spanish. Write from inside out these descriptions. If I find any evidence of any use of an exterior source I must invalidate your powerpoint.
Driving questions: La Familia: ¿Cómo se llama…? / ¿Cuántos años tiene? / ¿En qué trabaja…? / ¿Cómo es físicamente…? / ¿Cómo es su personalidad? / ¿Cuál es su actividad favorita?
The human body has eleven organ systems: skeletal, muscular nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, integumentary, immune, and reproductive system. These systems have different key structures and main functions. For example, the Cardiovascular system's main function is to transport nutrients throughout the body and facilitate gas. The cardiovascular system's key structure includes: the heart, blood vessels, and blood.
In the human body, there are three types of muscle cells, each with different structures and functions. Which are skeletal, smooth, and cardiac. Skeletal muscle cells are elongated, cylinder, and multinucleated. Cardiac muscle cells, are also striated but are branched, and a single nucleus. Smooth muscle cells are non-striated, spindle-shaped and has one nucleus. The main function of skeletal muscle is voluntary movement allowing locomotion. The cardiac muscle, on the other hand, is involuntary movement and so is smooth muscle. Skeletal muscle have fast contractions allowing activities from walking to constructing things. Cardiac muscle on the other hand is responsible for pumping blood throughout the body resulting in rhythmic and intermediate contractions. Unlike skeletal and cardiac muscle, smooth muscle contractions are slower and can go on for long periods without fatigue.
In the drawing it shows the similarities between a tree and a neuron. A tree and a neuron have similar structures. The roots of a tree and axon terminals both are for storage, axon terminal is spread out to send different signals and the roots of a tree are for support to absorb nutrients. Myelin Sheath and bark are both for protection. The myelin sheath is an insulation and speeds up the transmission of electrical signals. Bark protects inner parts of the tree and helps regulate its functions. Dendrites are like the branches of a tree, they extend out from the cell body to recieve signals from other neurons. Branches stretch out to gather sunlight and nutrients. Lastly, soma and leaves are both the core functions of a neuron and tree. Leaves provide energy for the tree and the soma contains the nucleus which is the powerhouse.
I would rather lose proprioception if I had to lose one of my senses because it helps me determine if I can fit in small places and controls whether I run into a door. Having touch could also help me figure these things out, so I believe proprioception isn't that important.
