My commitment is to help Covina's economy grow while also taking care of our own.
Building up Covina’s economy with good-paying jobs will allow our residents to live in the community they serve. I will fight for community workforce agreements and securing local hiring requirements for our community.
Innovation and outside the box thinking will be a cornerstone of my decision making.
Our city is fortunate to be forward-thinking in many respects, with several ongoing projects that will elevate it for generations to come. My focus will be to prioritize proactive approaches and bring creative ideas as we plan for the future of our community. Additionally, in 2025, the City Council passed a down payment assistance program for first-time homebuyers. Building on this progress, I am committed to strengthening and expanding similar programs to give everyone the opportunity to call Covina home.
Parks and community programs make life great for our residents.
Our Parks and Recreation Department plays a vital role in making Covina the great community it is. I will prioritize and expand this department to create more community programs and opportunities, especially for our youth and seniors. Additionally, I will monitor and maintain key oversight on the building of the new library and recreation center.
Working with our police department to uplift and protect our community.
Covina Police Department is tasked with serving and protecting our community. As a councilmember, I will work with the department to ensure they are supported to do this work. Additionally, I will work with our department to increase community involvement, especially with meaningful outreach to marginalized communities within our city.
