The weekend will include a range of shoots, across different distances and terrains.
All archers are invited to compete in the Duel of the Forest to try and win the Golden Arrow Prize Quiver!
The format:
The Duel of the Forest will be a half-Portsmouth, comprising 5 ends of 6 arrows over 20 yards
There will be a 15% penalty for open bows
The victor will be entitled to carry the travelling trophy until the next Golden Arrow event
Participants will be placed, randomly, in one of two teams by the Marshal in Charge.

Points earned by players will be counted for their individual score and their team's score. Team scores will be displayed in the hall over the weekend.
The highest scoring team will win a prize.
The Earl of Oxford: a Royal Round (see below)
Robin Hood and the Norman Soldier: a Portsmouth (see below)
The Downpour: a Derlington Challenge. 20 yards, 10 x 3 arrow ends, on a jigsaw target faceThe objective of the game is to place three arrows in different coloured sections of the board. Any arrows that share a section cancel each other out!
Winter 1265-66: the field shoot. Complex target placements, wild animals, feral archers!
Royal Rounds
6 arrow single ends at 40 yards, 30 yards & 20 yards plus a 20 yard timed end (30 seconds - as many arrows as you can shoot).
Portsmouth
10 6-arrow ends over 20 yards.
These scores will count towards the Insulae Draconis Dragon's Flight competition as well as the Drachenwald Winter or Summer competitions.
