High School Scholarship
1. SECU Foundation established the People Helping People four-year scholarship program to help North Carolina public high school students attend college. Each of the 115 North Carolina Local Education Agencies (LEAs)/School Districts will receive a minimum of one scholarship valued at $10,000 payable at $1,250 for up to eight consecutive semesters for a senior to attend one of the 16 constituent campuses of the University of North Carolina System. Community College Scholarship
The SECU Foundation established a major scholarship program to assist students in each of the fifty-eight community colleges in the North Carolina Community College System. There are 116 two-year scholarships valued at up to $5,000 each. Each North Carolina community college will receive two scholarships, representing an annual financial commitment to the entire North Carolina community college system of up to $580,000. MORE INFO!!!

3. We are thrilled to offer 25 scholarships available only to Durham Public Schools graduates. Applicants can use our online, universal application to apply for all scholarships that they are eligible for.

4. $100,000 Skechers Scholarship Program
These scholarships are open to high school seniors and include specific opportunities for students with financial need, academic excellence, leadership, and athletic performance:
The North Carolina Home Builders Educational & Charitable Foundation, Inc. accepts applications for its college scholarships each year between January and April. The foundation awards scholarships based on a combination of need and merit to four-year college students entering their junior or senior year and technical school students entering their second year who have declared their major in a construction related field.
To be eligible a student must meet the following criteria:
Applicants must be nominated by an NCHBA member firm.
Immediate family members of any current trustee of the NCHB Educational & Charitable Foundation, Inc. shall not be eligible.
Awards are for one year, but scholarship winners may submit a renewal application and be considered for renewal if they make satisfactory progress in their studies.
Only full-time students will be considered. NCHBA defines a full-time student as one taking a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
