Enrollment Interest meeting - (Required to join our CCP Program - now posted)
Career and College Promise (CCP) provides seamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible North Carolina high school students in order to accelerate completion of college certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees that lead to college transfer or provide entry-level job skills.
CCP pathways prepare high school students for college, both academically and culturally. From start to completion, CCP aligns with a traditional college student experience to help students accelerate into careers and college after high school.
Qualified public, private, or home-schooled students can earn college credit that can be applied toward high school credit.
Classes are taught on the college campus and/or offered online.
CCP students are the following:
Ready to take on the responsibilities of being both a high school and a college student;
Academically motivated to start earning college credits towards a career and/or transfer to a four-year college or university; and
Meet certain program and course eligibility requirements.
There are three pathways available to high school students:
The College Transfer (CT) Pathway is for students planning to continue their education beyond high school to achieve an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree at a community college or university.
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Pathway is for students to begin a certification or diploma program in a particular technical field or career area.
High School Course Equivalencies courses are based upon the Universal General Education Transfer Component of the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement and will transfer for equivalency credit. For purposes of calculating student Grade Point Averages, courses included on this chart are weighted in accordance with SBE policy GCS-L-004.
Tuition is waived for credit courses during the fall, spring, and summer semesters by the state of North Carolina. As of spring 2020, students are responsible for course fees. View course fees for College Transfer or for Career and Technical Education courses.
Textbook costs are the responsibility of the student unless otherwise covered by the school district. Check with your school for details.
For more information, visit the North Carolina Community College System reference manual for the Career and College Promise program.
All students taking CCP classes must sign the DSA/CCP contract.
