Let The Journey Begin!
Congratulations to all the new National Board Certified Teachers, newly Maintained NBCTs, and those still on your journey!🎉 Click for your next steps...
Celebrate your accomplishment!
Encourage your colleagues to seek certification.
NCDPI and DPS will communicate regarding your status and the financial impact. It usually takes at least a month for the communication to get all the way around. You don't have to do anything UNLESS you did not identify yourself as a DPS employee. (See #4.)
If you did not identify yourself as a DPS employee when registering, please let me know. We will have an extra step to ensure that you receive both the recognition as well as the pay.
You do NOT need to go into the licensure portal to add or pay fees. It will be done by NCDPI.
Look for an email from me regarding any possible district-sponsored celebrations.
