Welcome!
This site is for Mrs. Beth Baucom's STEM Special at Pearsontown Elementary.
However, since I've been a classroom teacher for so long, I also have resources and information about other subjects.
Please take a look around!
I am originally from Nashville, TN, however I moved quite a few times in my life. Even though I currently live in Graham, I lived in Durham for over 20 years and I consider it home. My major in college was Elementary Education with a concentration in English. I did my student teaching at Pearsontown in a fourth-grade class. (A side note, my husband proposed to me in her classroom!) I graduated from North Carolina Central University in 2001. In 2002, I returned to Pearsontown as a second-grade assistant. The next year, I got my own classroom. I've been teaching for 21 years (and I've been at Pearsontown for over 20 years!). I taught second grade for six years before moving to first grade, where I taught for six years. Then I moved back to second grade for nine more years. This is my second year as a STEM specialist! I'm so excited and looking forward to seeing every student! Teaching is my dream job. I love it and I can't imagine doing anything else!
