Hyderabad Trip
My school trip to Hyderabad was a much-needed break from the routine of studies, and it turned out to be so much more than just a getaway. It gave me a chance to explore a vibrant city, meet new friends, and make memories that I’ll carry with me. The blend of historical sites and lively local spots in Hyderabad brought every part of our trip to life, with each place revealing something new.
Though we faced some last-minute changes with hotels and plans, those small challenges became bonding moments. Thanks to supportive friends and the teachers who kept things organized, we managed to handle everything without missing a beat. Each unexpected twist became part of the fun, with jokes and laughter filling every gap.
Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful to our teachers, whose support made all the difference. They were there for us through every adventure, making sure we were safe while letting us enjoy every moment. I returned from Hyderabad with a refreshed mind, new friendships, and a deep sense of appreciation for the people around me.

Field Trip to Agarwal Farms
As part of a learning expedition on “Our Green Community,” the students of Grade III embarked on an immersive and enriching field trip to Agarwal Farms on 22 October 2024. This hands-on experience allowed them to connect directly with nature, developing a deeper appreciation for green spaces and an understanding of their significance in our environment.
During the visit, students explored a range of plant life, from the hardy cacti and succulents to medicinal herbs, vibrant vegetables, and fruits, as well as delicate bonsai trees. Wandering through this lush environment, students observed firsthand how these green spaces play a crucial role in our ecosystem. They also engaged in a creative activity, collecting dried leaves scattered around the farm and transforming them into unique animal artwork, which sparked both imagination and resourcefulness.
This experience highlighted for students the invaluable benefits that green spaces offer—they serve as vital habitats for various plant and animal species and play an essential role in purifying the air and reducing pollution. Additionally, students noted how such areas help in regulating temperatures, reinforcing the importance of protecting and expanding these spaces.
Reflecting on their experience, students applied the 3-2-1 strategy, sharing what they found most fascinating, meaningful and thought-provoking about the trip. Many expressed awe at the diversity of plants and their unique uses, the critical role of green spaces in supporting animal life and the creative potential found in natural materials. Some even voiced a desire to learn more about ways to bring similar green spaces to their own community.
The field trip to Agarwal Farms was indeed a day well-spent, sparking curiosity, inspiration and a lasting connection to the natural world. The students returned with newfound knowledge and an enthusiasm for contributing to environmental care in meaningful ways. DPS Lava extends its heartfelt gratitude to Agarwal Farms for providing such an engaging and educational experience that the students will carry with them for a long time.
Field Trip to Divisional Forest Office
On October 24th, the second-grade students visited the Divisional Forest Office to enhance their understanding of plants, connecting with their recent science studies. The trip included a guided tour of the nursery, where students explored various plant species and learned about plant growth from seeds.
They also visited a temperature-controlled room, gaining insight into the specific conditions different plants require to thrive. Staff members explained the various parts of a plant—roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and seeds—and their functions, effectively connecting classroom concepts with real-life applications.
After returning to school, students participated in a reflection session, sharing their excitement and insights from the trip. Many drew pictures of their favorite plants and discussed their learning experiences.
Overall, the field trip was a valuable educational opportunity that sparked curiosity and fostered a love for nature and environmental awareness among the students.
