Educational Trip to Sitabuldi Fort

Grade VI and VII students recently embarked on an educational trip to Sitabuldi Fort. Led by knowledgeable officers, they explored the fort's historical significance, including its reconstruction by Mudhoji II Bhonsle, just before he fought against the British East India Company during the Third Anglo-Maratha War.

Students were thrilled to visit the prison cell where Mahatma Gandhi was imprisoned, view the 270° range canon firing on the hill and discover features like artificial cliffs, underground tunnels and abandoned cells. They also learned about the fort's cultural significance through war memorials and shrines.

The trip provided students with invaluable insights into India's rich heritage and sparked curiosity about historical landmarks.
