In reading, we will begin learning about astronomy! We will cover some of the following topics:

• Planets in our solar system.

• The sun and moon

• Constellations

• The history of space travel

In Skills Unit 4 we have been working really hard on the following topics: 

• Bossy R

• Verb tenses

We started our fourth unit of our math curriculum. We have been working on the following skills!

• Place Value up to the tens place.

• Comparing numbers using inequalities. 

• Addition two 2 digit numbers together using place value.

• Money - Dimes and Pennies.

In writing, we have begun writing informative sentences about our learning about the history of the Earth. Some things that we focus on are: 

1. The drafting, writing and revising process. 

2. Writing in complete sentences that include correct capitialization and punctuation. 

3. Being able to write up to 5 sentences to create a paragraph.

We have been working on our second science unit "Spinning Earth". We have begun learning about the following: 

• Day and Night in relation to the Earth and the Sun. 

• Day and Night in different places on Earth. 

• Predicting Patterns

• Earths rotation
