Reminders for the week💡
ECE Paperwork: Thank you SO much for getting your paperwork in as soon as possible.
Family Photos: Please send in a photo of your family for our Family Wall. Feel free to email it to me if that works better.
Water bottles: Please send a water bottle with your child to school everyday-we do not have a functioning water fountain in the classroom, so it is a lot easier if the students have their water bottle. 😀
Blue Folder: Reminder that blue folders stay in backpacks.

Tuesday: What are the types of buses?
Wednesday: Where do we see buses?
Thursday: Where can we go by bus?
Friday: Transportation search
How to Help at Home:
Talk About Buses: While driving or walking, look for different buses in your neighborhood. Talk about their colors, sizes, and features. Ask questions like, “What do you notice about that bus?” or “Who might ride on this bus?”
Build Vocabulary: Practice using new transportation words, such as wheel, tire, door, window, seat, steering wheel, driver, and passenger. Encourage your child to describe what they see.
Read Together: Read a favorite book about buses or transportation. Talk about the pictures, make predictions, and ask your child questions about the story.
Practice Beginning Sounds: Listen for the /b/ sound in bus! You can also find other words that begin with the same sound, such as ball, banana, and bear.
How to Help at Home:
Count and Match: Gather small toys, blocks, or snacks. Write a number on a piece of paper and encourage your child to count out the matching number of objects. For example, if you write the number 4, can your child find four blocks?
Number Hunt: Look for numbers around your home or neighborhood. Find numbers on doors, clocks, signs, or mailboxes. Ask your child to identify the numeral and count out that many objects.
Snack Time Math: Use snack time to practice counting! Place a few crackers or pieces of fruit on a plate and ask, “How many do you have?” Show your child the matching numeral.
