Concurrent enrollment allows high school students to take college-level courses that count toward both high school graduation and a college degree. This program is entirely tuition-free, as tuition is covered by Denver Public Schools and the College Opportunity Fund (COF) (note: there may be a cost to students for textbooks and/or supplies). Concurrent Enrollment students can take classes taught by South teachers who are adjunct professors with our college partners or students can go off-site to the college campus. Learn more about Concurrent Enrollment opportunities in Colorado and then see your counselor if you are interested! Important - you must get approval from your counselor prior to enrolling in an off-site course to ensure the tuition will be paid by South and to avoid an unexpected bill!!

FALL 2026 Drop and Withdrawal Deadlines
STUDENTS MUST MEET WITH THEIR SOUTH COUNSELOR PRIOR TO DROPPING OR WITHDRAWING FROM A CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT COURSE. FAILURE TO ABIDE BY DEADLINES AND PROCESSES MAY RESULT IN RECEIVING A BILL FOR THE COURSE AND/OR AN F APPEARING ON BOTH YOUR HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE TRANSCRIPTS.
Dropping a course occurs prior to or on the Last Day to Drop (also called Census Date), as listed on the important dates for the corresponding college partner. Dropped course(s) will NOT appear on a student’s official college or high school transcript.
Withdrawing from a course occurs after the Last Day to Drop and prior to or on the Last Day to Withdraw, as listed on the important dates for the corresponding college partner. When a student is withdrawn from a course, a grade of “W” will appear on the student’s official college and high school transcript for the course. In the case of withdrawals, tuition and fees are charged (to South if the course was approved by South or to the student/family if not approved).
Drop/Withdraw dates are determined by the college. Please be sure you are checking the dates before submitting Drop or Withdraw a request. FALL 2026 Drop and Withdrawal Dates
STOP! Please Read Carefully
CU Succeed: A separate withdrawal form on the CU Succeed website is required and must be used instead of the google form submitted by your counselor.
MSU Denver:
For courses taught at the high school campus, the google form submitted by your counselor is the only form needed to process a drop or withdrawal.
For courses taught on the college campus, students must log into their MSU Denver portal and complete the drop/withdrawal themselves. MSU Denver WILL NOT process a drop/withdraw via the DPS google form. Please use this link to drop/withdraw from their course https://www.msudenver.edu/registrar/student/drop-and-withdrawal/.
