About our program

The ECE program has been with Grant Ranch since the school opened in 2001 beginning as a single classroom. In the Fall of 2009 the program expanded, adding an additional classroom. These programs have full day 4 year olds, and focus on building language, pre-k literacy skills, math skills, and additional enrichment in science and social studies. In the Spring of 2008 the Grant Ranch Early Childhood Program was one of the first schools in DPS to receive a Qualistar 4 star rating, which is the highest rating. They have continued to receive 4 stars ever since.

Grant Ranch’s full day ECE program currently consists of three full day classrooms (2 four year old classrooms and a three year old classroom) that run from 8:05-3:35pm M-W, F, and Thursdays from 8:05-12:50pm. Thursdays will be shortened for staff professional development.

Room 143 staff includes Kelly Mettler and her wonderful, energetic and bilingual para, Crystal Garcia. Our main goal is to provide high quality, supportive learning environments for our students, while also collaborating with families along the learning process.
