Community Partnerships

Mental health center of denver (MHCD)

JFK has been a long-time partner with MHCD. MHCD provides funding for our full-time school-based therapist, Amy Tedoff. Amy offers individual, family, and group therapy to ensure students and families have the resources they need to be successful - both personally and academically. This is critical to ensure our students are able to receive therapy services without barriers.

denver health

Denver Health offers a Substance Abuse Treatment, Education and Prevention (STEP) program where they fund a full-time STEP school-based therapist to provide drug and alcohol treatment services for our students. Jeff Leichtman, our STEP therapist, offers individual and family therapy as well as parental support to address substance use and mental health needs of our students and their families.

end violence project

END Violence is funded through the University of Colorado Denver End Violence Project. Becca Tiell-Krekeler provides individual and group counseling to students who have or are experiencing unhealthy or abusive relationships.

a precious child

A Precious Child has been an amazing partnership for our JFK community! They have provided essential resources for our JFK Resource Room where students can access school supplies, clothing, hygiene products, and more for FREE!
