George Washington High School students will be provided with equitable opportunities in which they will acquire essential life skills to find success in their individualized paths and become contributing members of society both locally and globally. 

Mission

The mission of George Washington High School’s comprehensive school counseling program is to provide all students with equitable access to programs and opportunities that support academic achievement, college and career readiness, and social/emotional development in a safe environment. The school counseling program, in partnership with stakeholders, will ensure students have access to a comprehensive school counseling program that advocates for, affirms, and celebrates students from diverse populations. The GW Counseling department will empower students by challenging them to take a leadership role in their education and develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to be life-long learners in our diverse and ever-changing society.
