Three strong pieces of evidence are required for GT ID and may include:
-SIGS or other approved, nationally normed, observation surveys (for teachers and/or parents) with scores in the 95%tile+ on one or more academic domain.
-Anecdotal evidence with specific examples that demonstrate advanced abilities.
At least one of the following is required:
Fall Universal Screening test in kindergarten and 2nd grades with results 95%tile+
GT testing by Nomination, for students who have not been tested in the last 3 years, with results 95%tile+
CMAS score of 5 (exceeds expectation) or in the 95%tile
2 years growth on ACCESS testing in one year or scores or scores in the 95%tile+
Other district approved, nationally normed, cognitive or achievement test scores in the 95%tile+
The plan includes:
One or more Academic Goals in the identified strength area(s).
One or more Social Emotional or Affective Needs goals.

Students can also be identified as Gifted with a Talent Portfolio in the following domains:
Music
Visual Arts
Preforming Arts
Dance
Psychomotor (such as athletes)
Leadership
*New* Creative and Productive Thinking no longer requires a portfolio. This can now be done with a body of evidence as listed above.
