Living our Values!  

This year I am focusing on living the value of being ALL IN!  I want to be ALL IN for my students and families.  

My Bio

I was born in Frankfurt, Germany and moved around quite a bit growing up because my dad was in the military.  We ended up in Texas for most of my childhood. I graduated from the University of Houston (Go Cougs!) and then went on to teach 5th grade and Intervention in Houston. 

I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was little and forced my younger siblings to play school with me (there were 6 of us kids so I almost had a classroom:).  We moved to Denver in 2010.

Hobbies

I love to spend time with my family.  I have 3 kids ages 17, 15, and 11. Two are in high school at Thomas Jefferson and my youngest is at Slavens K-8. I keep very busy outside of my school day with lots of kids sports and activities (sometimes I even run into my students in the wild at sporting events:). I LOVE to read and explore new places. My favorite place to be is the beach.  There's nothing like the sound of waves to clear my mind and soul.

This year I want to embody the value of JOY! This is my third year at Bromwell, and I really want to put my best foot forward, embrace the community, and give my best effort in supporting my students, my colleagues, and my families in feeling joyful.

My Bio

I was born in Chicago but grew up in sunny Florida. This is my 16th year in education, and I’ve primarily taught English Language Arts. 

Hobbies 

Like any good teacher, I love reading, crying, and binge watching bad TV.
