iReady grading System

Students need to meet 3 criteria per week to get 100- A

To work WEEKLY for 45 minutes on EACH subject. ( 45 minutes split into Monday and Wednesday for Literacy, 45 minutes split into Tuesday and Thursday)
To pass 2, or more lessons WEEKLY on EACH subject ( by Friday they should have minimum 2 lessons passed in Lit., and 2 lessons passed in Math)
To have 70%, or more, accuracy in their WEEKLY work on EACH subject.

Why is my child NOT getting 100?

Students will get an 80- B if:

They have 45 minutes on the subject
They have more than 70% accuracy
They haven't passed 2 lessons on that subject.

They have passed 2 lessons on that subject
They have 70% accuracy
They have spent between 30- 44 minutes working.

Students will get an 70- C if:

They have passed 2 lessons on the subject
They have an accuracy between 50-69%
They have spent 45 minutes working on that subject.

OR:

The student was absent one day of the week, and they meet half of the goals in time and lessons passed ( 20 minutes, 1 lesson)

Students will get an 60- D if:

They met only 1 of the weekly goals on that subject

Students will get an 50- F if:

They haven't met any of the weekly goals.

Homeroom Grading System

Students are given 100- A every week on Mondays for Homeroom.

Also: Fire drills, BRAVO ASSEMBLIES, and other activities that demand showing others our Respect, and Responsibility (e.g. MS activities), whenever they happen will be graded to.

Why is my child NOT getting 100?

Students will get an 60- D for that week if:

School rules have been broken. (Look at BW's Expectations given to teachers, and shared with students)
Important: All Tier 2, and 3 are included, and from Tier 1, Violence of any sort: verbal and physical.
