We established the lines of inquiry related to travel and navigation, keeping the central idea- ‘Technological and scientific advancements can have an impact on society and environment’ in focus. We collaborated to determine the timeline for the exhibition. To provoke thoughts about the central idea, we viewed an audio-visual presentation that showcased the evolution of technology over time. We assessed our prior knowledge of the central idea using the visible thinking routine- Connect, Extend, and Challenge. In groups, we formulated guiding questions to guide our inquiry and used the four-quadrant framework to identify important and relevant questions. We divided ourselves into groups and selected a guiding question to investigate the first line of inquiry- modes of transport, focusing on the key concept -Form. We were able to identify the different modes of transportation on land, air, and water. We inquired about the various navigation systems used in the modes of transportation. We documented our discoveries and created posters to share our findings with the group.
