Debate Team
This year the Debate Team will compete in two tournaments; both with competitors from Shepard and Deerpath Middle School in Lake Forest. In Debate, students are given various controversial topics to research and analyze. They then present arguments supporting the pro and con positions on these issues. Successful debaters thoroughly research topics, thoughtfully craft their arguments and practice their presentation skills. Overall, participation helps students develop and refine their critical thinking skills.
