The following aims to ensure consistency across all grades in the school’s expectations and responsibilities for all students.
It is understood that some may be adjusted given the age of the students.
Students:
follow a daily routine for learning: be ready to learn by – 9 am (or a time suited to your family routine)
are asked to log in on the home page of this site when they are ready to start
be prepared for learning, have all your materials ready
are required to wear comfortable, appropriate clothing which may be your school uniform
identify a supervised space that is safe, comfortable and quiet in your home where you can work effectively and successfully (dining table, kitchen bench etc.)
be aware of learning expectations for each learning experience
regularly monitor digital platforms and communication (Seesaw and Google classroom) to check for announcements and feedback from teachers
complete tasks to the best of your ability
will adhere to the responsible use of technology expectations and in keeping with the Diocesan social media policy
try your best to meet timelines, commitments, and due dates
communicate with your teachers if you need support or have a question.

Parents:
establish routines and expectations
prepare a supervised space that is safe, comfortable and quiet in your home where your child/ren can work effectively and successfully (dining table, kitchen bench etc.)
ensure your child has a space conducive to learning and there is access to internet, power, appropriate lighting and ventilation
regularly check the Home Learning site for any additional communication
check in with your child regularly to help them manage stress
regularly check in and take an active role in your child's learning throughout the day
encourage physical activity and/or exercise throughout the day
monitor how much time your child is spending online outside of school hours
contact the teacher or school if you are in need of support i.e. troubleshooting technology
keep your child/ren social, but set rules around their social media interactions (Diocesan social media policy still applies)
maintain a supportive approach to the work being delivered by the teacher.
The following aims to ensure consistency across all grades in ensuring that students are supported in their educational continuity:
Teachers will:
mark the roll each morning
be referencing the syllabus through their online learning
provide regular feedback as required
collaborate with their grade/stage colleagues to plan online learning
only upload one day of learning at a time (to start with)
be following the social media policy
view and moderate all student work before giving permission to upload to student learning journals
provide ‘troubleshooting’ information via the 'questions' tab on this site
be available for support and questions via email between the hours of 8.30 am- 3.30 pm. Emails outside of these hours will be answered the following day.
