Student Reflection
I have chosen the scripture, Luke 2:3-5, because a wonderful thing happened.
Mary was placed in a difficult position which made her nervous. I have been put in this position when family members of mine were born.
I used acrylic paint for my piece. The sky shows how bright and beautiful the star is. I made the stars smaller so that the size, shape and beauty of the big star is dominating the picture. Bethlehem has light colours to show the light from inside the houses, shining through the windows. The yellow and green on the bushes represent life. The different colours for the path represent the different shades of dirt, which are all different, like the people travelling to Bethlehem. Bethlehem is in the distance to show how far Mary and Joseph still have to go. The front side of Mary and Joseph show where the light is coming from the star. It is brighter near the star to show where the source of light is.
