Homework

Homework Policy:

Homework is usually given on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays
Homework consists of reading for 20 minutes (read to someone, read independently or being read to)
An Everyday Math Homelink or math practice sheet will be sent home most of the time to provide additional practice of taught skills
The purpose of homework is to compliment instruction and provide additional practice and review
Homework should be completed independently, neatly, and with best effort
At times, additional homework may include: studying for upcoming tests, making flashcards, or writing assignments
Homework should never be or become highly stressful or require more than 40 minutes (including reading). If homework becomes frustrating or is confusing, please write me a note or have your child write me a note. We'll go over the homework and clear up any confusion the next couple of days in class.
